A Tea Party Birthday

One of Ayla's friends in school, Isla Clair, had her 5th birthday party.  All the girls in the class were invited and welcomed to dress the part for her tea party.  So naturally, Ayla and her best bud Vivi Jean went all out.  We had to take a couple photos before heading to the party, lipstick and all.  The party was so cute!  Real glass dishes were used and the girls had such a good time playing together and eating snacks.  When I asked Ayla if she wanted something this fancy for her own 5th birthday party, she adamantly replied, "Nope, I want a doughnut party."  A doughnut party it is my girl.  :-)

A Trip to the Apple Orchard & Batman Lego Movie @ Chicago's Pizza

Blair has been so busy lately studying for his Series 65 exam that I thought it would be nice to get the kids out of the house and give him a little peace and quiet.  The weather has cooled off lately, so we decided to take a trip to the apple orchard near our house.  We got apple cider slushies and played on the playground for a little while.  The kids had such a good time and it was nice to get some fresh air!  After we played, we went and picked apples for a while.  I can't wait to make apple chips!  Yum!

That evening. we surprised the kids and took them to see the Batman Lego Movie at Chicago's pizza.  We love it when they do their outdoor movie night.  We try to never miss them!  We met up with Dean and Viviana, ate our dinner, and posted up outside to watch the movie.  Jasper loved it and I didn't think it was too bad either!

Happy 4 1/2 Birthday Ayla Hoo!

It's hard to believe that this little lady will be 5 years old in only 6 months.  Of course she requested ice cream and I was happy to give it up!  Nothing like a yummy break from the reality of being back to school during the summer!!
