Ayla Blair & Jasper Paul: September 2013

This weekend we went to Tennessee to see Meg get married to Paul. I was so worried that Ayla would end up with another ear infection, but I guess the shot worked! Blair, Ayla, Tyler, Grand Dude, and I all drove down together in an Acadia. Ayla was so good. She slept almost the whole way down and the whole way back. We had a good time catching up on conversation, and I also got to catch up on some sleep too! When we got to the hotel, Fancy already had our room key. We stopped by her room, and Ayla couldn't stop smiling. We set up her pack 'n play in our hotel room and she went right to sleep. Such a good girl!
The next day was spent eating breakfast with family and relaxing outside. Of course Ayla decided to take a 2 1/2 hour nap, so I sat on the balcony and visited from above. Blair got a moment to go see our friends Dan and Katie who live in Memphis also. They are about to have their first baby, so he took them some diapers.
That evening, the wedding was beautiful! Meggie was so happy and the food was delicious. It's a totally different ball game having a baby at a wedding reception. It was Ayla's first one, and we were worn out by about 8:15 pm. Blair, Ayla, and I went back to our hotel, I nursed her to sleep, and Blair stayed behind while I went back to the party for another hour. We danced and had a couple drinks, then came home.
The next morning, we relaxed in our hotel room until we went to brunch at Ryan and Karri's house. We had great breakfast, and then took a few little cousin pictures. They're so cute and there's so many of them now! Too bad we were missing Little Miss Abby. It was a great trip overall, and I'm so glad that Ayla has had the chance to meet her cousins so often! We're so lucky to have such a close family.
