Party Time Randoms

Ayla and I stayed up late one night and baked cookies for Blair's birthday.  She put on the sprinkles and then begged to eat one.

Ayla and Paiton got to play together at Tyler's 25th family birthday party

4th of July Fun!

Bob and Teri came up this year for the 4th of July. it was a very nice weekend and we had so much fun getting to spend two nights with them. We went to the Beech Grove fireworks on Friday night and then hung out all day at home on Saturday. We had a good meal with fancy and grand dude and then watched fireworks in our front yard.  Sunday morning we got up early and went to breakfast at Cracker Barrel before Nini and Pappaw all went home.

Jasper is 7 Months Old

Jasper is probably the most smiley baby I've ever met!  He's still so completely laid back and likes to watch everything going on around him.  He's content almost always - the exceptions being if he is tired or hungry.  When he's tired, his cry has a slight growl at the end of it....it's pretty cute.  :-)
At 7 Months, Jasper:

  • Weighs 14 pounds, 13 ounces
  • Roll over both ways now - Sometimes he gets going after something and does double and triple rolls to get there!
  • Working on pushing his booty into the air to begin the army crawl (Our Little GI Joe)
  • Beginning to say the "S" sound with his tongue - It's really cute!
  • Eats 3 meals a day and LOVES it
  • Has tried squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, broccoli, peas, cantaloupe, apples, bananas, peaches, pears, watermelon, yogurt, blueberries, chicken and spaghetti!  (Bub definitely has texture issues right now - he wasn't too keen on the past and chicken feeling in his mouth)
  • Starting to sit up for brief moments.
  • Likes giving big bear hugs where he'll grab both sides of your face - or even your hair - pull you right up to his face and squeeze you.  It actually really hurts!  But it's his term of endearment right now, and we love it.
  • Likes putting his "piggy toes" into his mouth and gnawing on them
  • Laughs when you tickle him on his belly - he anticipates the hands clawing down toward him and starts to giggle before you get there.
  • Is so incredibly sweet, and I can't wait (yet I can) to see how he does around his peers when he starts daycare next week.  :-(
