1st Ear Infection = A Newfound Love of Bubblegum Medicine

Ayla has had her first experience with Bubblegum Medicine.  I just knew there wasn’t something right with her recently.  Every time I layed her down after her bath she would scream and cry.  This isn’t like her.  She had been acting very irritable lately and just not smiley like usual.  She has been sick for a total of 4 weeks now, but only with a runny nose and cough.  She never ran a fever, so I figured the doctor wouldn’t be able to do anything for her.  The other day I started wondering if maybe she had an ear infection, so I decided to take a ½ day off work on Monday and get her in to see Dr. Ciaccio.  I was right!  Her right ear had an infection in it, so we got her set up with good ol’ bubblegum medicine.  Within 2 days, she was back to her good ol’ self.  I’m so glad to have my happy, healthy baby back to normal!

She loves her medicine!  She's so independent these days!

So happy the medicine is working!

Working on the Standing Trick

She’s getting bigger all the time!  We finally got out this toy that we received at my “Teacher Shower”.  She’s working on standing up at it!  She’s definitely still wobbly but slowly getting stronger!  She sits up to play with this toy now a lot.

Lazy Mornings & Garage Sales

You just can’t beat lazy mornings with this little girl.  She’s always so happy in the mornings!  She loves to hang out and interact with her cool parents.  J  Today we tried to take a walk down to a house in our neighborhood that was having a garage sale.  When we went down there, they were closed down.  But she sure does look cute anyway huh!  J

"Hey!  What's this thing on my head?"  (I hope we're not entering that stage)

Look What I Can Do

Ayla has gotten so good at sitting up lately I put her in her crib to see what she would do. She held onto the railings and peeked over the side at me.  I see this happening more often in the future!

Silly Ayla

Lately, everything Ayla can get her hands on, she puts on top of her head!  I'm not sure what the obsession is, but maybe she'll look good in hats!  I know I never did, but hopefully she'll take after her daddy on that trait!
Miss Cheyenne says that every time Ayla plays with this zebra, she puts it on her head!

Daycare Days

Ayla does so well at daycare now.  She loves her teachers and I love them too!  They send pictures of her to me all the time while I'm at school.  Here are some of the most recent ones.

Getting better at sleeping in her crib every day!

Ayla & Graham playing together.  They said she just laid there petting him.  :-)  Miss Cheyenne said that these two play together more than any of them so far.  So sweet!

I cracked up when I got this picture.  She pottied all over Miss Melissa!

A Weekend with Fancy & Grand Dude

This past weekend, Blair and I went on a weekend get-away to Brown County with our bible study.  We stayed in a huge, beautiful cabin relaxed the whole time.  We hiked in the state park, went shopping, grilled out, went to dinner, sat by the campfire, and grilled smores.  It was great.  While we were there, Ayla stayed at Fancy and Grand Dude's for the weekend.  It was the longest we've ever been away from her and it was hard, but we did it.  She was so good for them the whole time.  She got to go visit aunts, uncles, and great grandparents.  She even slept 12 hours straight one night!  She's such a good girl.  While she was there, she got even better with sitting up.  She's basically a pro now.  Maybe still a slight balance issue, but overall, she's doing great.  It's crazy how fast things happen.

Ayla was so happy with her fancy and grand dude all weekend long

Grandma Shirley couldn't stay away either

Miss Thang absolutely loves getting her back scratched.  She will sit still for as long as you'll scratch her!

Showing off her flexibility
She loves her books!

Love the little tu-tu dress.  Fancy bought this for her when she was still in the hospital.  It was huge back then.  I decided to try it on again the other day and it's a good thing I did!  She's almost already grown out of it!
