Baby #2 is 21 Months Developed

Getting bigger and loving it!  I can't wait for Ayla to REALLY understand what's going on.  She always points at the belly and says baby, but does she truly understand that she's going to be a big sister soon?  Only time will tell!

Ayla is 17 Months

We love our little Miss Ayla Who so much.  She's so big and wants to do everything on her own.  It's crazy how much it seems like she grows up each week in itself.  She is starting to be excited to become a big sister, she kisses my belly all the time, and she loves to give us kisses and hugs.  I love the compassionate, yet determined little girl that Ayla is becoming.  Fancy was saying the other day how, while you're the parent you don't realize it until later, but some of the strongest personality traits that you see in your little one are truly who they will become as they grow up.  If that's true, we've got one special little girl on her hands - who will probably try to conquer the world all on her own.  Look out earth!  :-)
 
 
• Says "Bye Baby" to everyone when she leaves
• Starting to count to 3
• Loves to dance and sing
• Still obsessed with Elmo and is now beginning to love "MiMi" - Mickey Mouse
• Likes to sleep with a pillow
• Down to only 1 nap per day now - about 2 hours
• Loves to swing extremely high on her swing set
• Completely done with her binky - which makes me very sad
• Starting to tell you when she goes boo-boo in her diaper
• Randomly requests to wear sticker earrings to go places
• Starting to learn her ABC's
• Excited to take the neighbor dogs treats each day - she takes a treat to each of them saying "Rosie!  Star!" - I'm glad the neighbors have dogs so that we don't have to get one yet! (I can't even believe I'm saying the word "yet".)
• Sleeps on a cot at daycare now - I think she's ready for her big girl bed!
• Becoming very brave at going down the stairs - almost too brave!  We have to watch her closely
• Likes to point at and name everyone at the dinner table
• Says a prayer before dinner and bed each night - she folds her hands and says "Amen".  It's one of the cutest things I've ever seen!
• Wants to talk so badly!  She gets very frustrated when she doesn't think you understand what she's saying
• Starting to throw so big fits - she usually screams one loud scream at you and then stops realizing she's probably going to get in trouble for it.  (It's actually quite comical)
• Enjoys trying to wear other peoples' shoes
• Loves looking at pictures of people and naming them
• Has found her tongue - she sticks it out if you ask her to see it - hilarious

Baby #2 is 19 Weeks Growing!

Props to Daddy for taking our 19 week pictures!  It's so hard to find time to get photos every other week now.  But we're making it happen!  Big sister is pretty interested in why my belly is getting big!

Silly Ayla Photos

Blair took Ayla outside to play early on Saturday morning, and all of a sudden she started to pull out the lawn mower from the garage.  She climbed up on it and smiled really big at him.  Crack me up!  What a strange child.  Did she really want to take a ride on the lawn mower?  She definitely keeps our lives interesting!

 

She says "CHEESE!"  for pictures now.  Couldn't hurt to snap a quick photo after bath time.  :-)
