The Zoo & SoutheastWay Park over Spring Break!

It was a gorgeous day over Spring Break, so several teachers decided to take our kiddos to the Zoo.  (This Zoo Membership is proving to be absolutely awesome.)  Ayla and I met Jess, Graham, her friend Julie, her little girl Zoey, Robin, and her two little kiddos Camryn and Landon.  We walked around in the aquarium area, and then went to see the lions, giraffes, zebras, elephants, hippos, etc.  It was fun to see how much more interested Ayla was in all the animals this time compared to the time we went in January.  In just a few short months, she's so much more interested.
After The Zoo, I got Ayla home for a nap and then we met Kyree and Cary - a teacher friend and her daughter from the neighborhood - at Southeast Way Park.  We walked the babies in their strollers for a little bit and then took them on the swings.  Ayla has decided recently that she would rather walk than ride in her stroller, and if you make her wait a minute longer than she wants to, it's an all out screaming fit.  I'm not quite used to this side of her yet!  Hopefully it's just a phase.  Nonetheless, we had a very enjoyable afternoon.  It's nice to finally have some nice weather in Indiana!

Ayla checking out the sea lions.  Not the greatest picture, but I couldn't get very many this trip.

One of the only pictures I got of the two of us today.  And you can tell she's completely exhausted at this point

Wonder Lab in Bloomington...and Another BUG to go along!

Lesley called and asked if Ayla and I wanted to meet her and KK at The Wonder Lab in Bloomington.  I had never heard of this place, but it was great!  It's like a mini version of The Children's Museum, and it's a heck of a lot cheaper!  We got in the car and drove down to Bloomington in morning, and met them there around 10:30am.  When we got inside, it was completely packed!  There was a 2nd grade fieldtrip going on, but we managed to push our way through to the places we wanted to be.  Kinsley was completely excited when she saw everything that she could do inside.  She would run to try everything - look at it, do it once or twice, and then want to run to the next activity.  It was so cute.  Ayla just stared at her and watched her do everything.   At first she wouldn't let me put her down, but eventually she warmed up and started to play some too.  We lasted about two hours and then decided to go to Buffalo Wild Wings to get some lunch.  We got right in, had a delicious lunch and then hugged and said goodbye.  It was so nice to be able to meet up and spend some quality time together as sisters, nieces, and cousins.  We will definitely be doing it again sometime!
When I got Ayla in the car, she feel asleep immediately - I knew she would because it was past her nap time.  When I got home, she was still asleep, so I closed the garage door and let her continue to sleep.  I would check on her every 5 minutes or so.  The last time I went to check, I heard her crying, so I hurried to open the car door, and immediately noticed that she had barfed all over her entire self and her car seat!  I felt so bad.  How long had she been sitting in it??!!  Mother of the year award doesn't go to me in 2014 either folks!  I hurried to get her out of her seat and inside.  I got her bathed and figured that maybe she had just gotten too hot in the back of the car.  She acted completely fine after the bath.  So I got her car seat out of the car, started to take it apart to wash it in the washer, and decided to giver her a tiny bit of juice incase she was dehydrated - which she proceeded to puke up all down her bib.  (I should get some sort of award though because I caught every last bit of it in the pocket of her bib, got the bib off of her, and go rid of the stuff without spilling any of it!)  After she got sick for the second time, she was running around playing and that was the last we saw of the BUG.  Not sure if something didn't settle well with her stomach, she had some sort of bug, or if she really did get too hot in the car.  I guess we'll never know!  But a couple days after, Fancy and I ended up throwing up after eating Bob's To Your Door.  (It make my stomach weak just writing the name of the pizza place.)  Ayla could have passed the bug to us, or it may have been the pizza, but whatever it was, I'm glad that it's over!
Ayla keeps all of our lives so much more interesting than they had been before she was here.  That's for sure!

KK working really hard to pull her own body weight up to the top of the ride - such a cool activity - and she's obviously very determined!

How many Kinsley's do you see?

Ayla liked beating on the musical drum behind her - and trying to eat the drumstick too of course.

Running around the playground

Watch out below Miss Ayla!

Kinsley said it was like she was flying!

Can you believe that my child just really wanted to sit by the window and read some books that she found?!

Not too thrilled with the water table

Peekaboo!

The bubble room was the coolest!  KK would make an enormous bubble and then put her hand through it without even breaking it!

So fun to watch her little brain learn

Little Pacers Fan

It had been a while since Ayla had gotten to wear her Pacers jersey that Uncle X got her at a game - and we secretly hoped that it might bring The Pacers a bit of winning luck - so we got her decked out in her game gear.  She ran around the house like a little diva and even got cocky enough to grab Blair's hair and pull him around the room!  She's got such a sense of humor lately.  This is such a fun age to watch Ayla grow into her own personality.  We love our little Pacers fan.

Abe pulling Daddy around by his hair - haha!  Not sure where she came up with this move!

I think this must have been a picture of Blair reflecting on the beating he just took from Ayla

Cousin Paiton's 1st Birthday Party

We got Cousin Paiton's 1st Birthday Invitation in the mail the other day and RSVP'd right away.  (Well, as soon as we knew that Ayla would be over hew most recent virus.)  We went out and bought her an adorable little spring outfit - one I wish I could have gotten for Ayla too - and a touch and feel book.  Ayla loves feeling the pages on books right now, so we knew Paiton would love it too!  At the birthday party, Ayla wanted to play with Paiton the whole time.  Paiton was so tired and completely overwhelmed with how many people were around her, but she looked completely adorable in her birthday outfit!  There were snacks, cake, ice cream presents, and singing.  Paiton got tons of cool gifts that Ayla wanted to play with the entire time - needless to say - we know what we hope The Easter Bunny brings for Ayla this year!  It's so fun to have a little cousin the same age as Ayla.  I love watching them interact and spend time with each other!  I only wish it happened more often!
