Binkified Drama Queen in the Making

We've got a major drama queen on our hands folks!  Lately if something upsets Ayla, she will take all the attention she can get!  For example, today it was apparent that Miss Thang was getting sleepy.  So I picked her up to do our usual walk-bounce routine to get to her sleep.  She rubbed her face on my shoulder and bonked her nose on accident.  Automatically the tears came and the wailing began.  I rocked her, talked to her, even tried to divert her attention to a game of peek-a-boo.  But nothing was working.  Originally the cry was a real one, but I noticed after about a minute that the rest of her 10 minute fit was completed with no tears at all and just plain old dramatic yells instead.  Eventually, I got her to calm down, close her eyes, and take her binky - which she has finally mastered at keeping in her mouth all by herself now as well.  She's growing so quickly!  Let the drama saga of a daughter begin!  :-)

A Visit with Great Granma Shirley

Grandma Shirley payed Ayla a visit this afternoon.  She says that Ayla is going to be a blond very soon!  I'd definitely be okay with a little toe head baby!

Southeast Way Park with Maddie Mae and Lucy Mae

Today Ayla got to go to the park and walk with Maddie and Lucy.  It was so fun to get the girls together and have them meet for the first time.  Of course most of the time the other two girls played on the swings and Ayla slept.  We'll ge there though!  :-)

 

Hanging with Landry and Ainsley

We were so glad that Ali, Landry and Ainsley came back to Indiana for a week after we saw them in Tennessee.  Landry loved playing with Ayla.  She wanted to hug her all the time!

A Trip to Tennessee

Ayla made her first trip to Tennessee to celebrate Meg Lynn's bridal shower.  She did an amazing job driving down and back.  While down there she got to dress in black and white for the Indy 500.

Fancy's Brithday and Pacers Playoff Game

Two very special events happened on the same day today.  It was Fancy's birthday and the Pacers played their firt playoff game against the Miami Heat.  We had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Tranter's house, celebrated Fancy's birthday with Banana Cake and watched the Pacers lose by 1 point in overtime.  But Ayla sure looked cute in her Pacers onsie that Uncle Chad and Aunt Angie got her!
