Happy 4th Birthday Ayla

Oh Miss Ayla Blair - How you keep ALL of us on our feet CONSTANTLY.  You are full of energy, opinion, and all life itself.  I have always loved the age of 4.  And I know that everyone around you, who loves you dearly, cannot wait to see what this year brings of your BIG and BOLD personality.  At the age of FOUR years old, you:
  • Have an opinion about everything!
  • Are starting to use big words that you don't understand, "That is rude", "This is awkward".
  • Love having an audience to watch you perform songs you have made up on the spot, or just watch you do your newest, super, cool gymnastics move
  • Enjoy hearing stories or having others tell you about the past
  • Are writing your first and last name
  • Are almost able to count to 100
  • Like to ask questions, get the answer, and then repeat the answer by yourself to ensure that you understood and could relay the same information to others on your own
  • Absolutely love your brother - you're stating to annoy him some and you get particular enjoyment out of hearing him tattle on you
  • Like to play the "copying" game
  • Becoming interested in painting your nails & wearing earrings
  • Still enjoy school and learning new things daily
  • FINALLY stay in your bed throughout the night and will take yourself potty and go back to bed on your own - now that you know that you can do it and it's not scary
  • Love playing pretend with your babies or your brother
  • Really in to watching Disney movies now - some of your favorites are Moana, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Trolls, & Zootopia
  • You say that your favorite thing is "to just relax and watch your iPad".
  • Getting really good at brushing your own teeth, helping to fold the laundry, setting the table, taking your food to the sink when you're done eating, riding your bike, pumping your feet on a swing, coloring in the lines
  • You're excited to try out t-ball and have your daddy coach you
  • Don't like the sound of the dryer in a public restroom or the sound of the toilet flushing at night
  • You have a heart for prayer for others.  It is nothing for you to tell others that we should pray for the person who is sick, hurt, or sad.
Ayla Hoo, you make us so proud and you're a joy to have in our lives every day.  Life could never ever be the same without you.  We love to watch  you learn and you'll do wonderful things with your life.  Here is to another 4 years of wild and crazy, absolutely challenging bliss with you!  WE LOVE YOU and HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY!

I am devastated that I forgot to get a picture of the cake this year.  We ordered cupcakes from the Salem bakery in Wonder Woman colors.  Then I made a big cupcake cake out of them with super hero captions in each cupcake.  But at least you can see Ayla enjoying one in this picture!
