Minus 1 for the New Parents

Well poor Ayla has been crawling around with her first yeast infection for going on 3 weeks now.  I knew it was a really bad diaper rash, but I kept asking the daycare if they thought I should be worried and they said no.  We tried Butt Paste, Desitin, Vaseline, Corn Starch, and nothing was working.  So I made an appointment for today and the nurse gasped when she looked at it.  She said that it was all yeast and a really bad infection.  I felt horrible.  She told us to put layers of Lotrimin, Desitin, and Vaseline on each time we changed her diaper.  And she also called in an oral medicine.  She explained how to recognize an oncoming infection for next time and sent us on our way.  I feel so bad, but I'm glad we're getting it under control now.
