Monday evening, the rain that had been coming down decided to stop and it was decently warm outside, so we decided to check out Christmas at the Zoo. Ayla is really into Christmas lights this year and we thought she may love it. We missed the opportunity last year since we had just brought home The Bub! It was really pretty neat to see all the lights and check out some of the animals. I really do love it when we get our very own little family quality time. Just the 4 of us went to eat at McDonalds and the headed down to the Zoo. We walked around for about an hour and listened to people dressed up in old fashioned clothing singing carols and the eventually headed home to put the babies to bed. It was truly a nice evening!
Ayla likes to pose for photos right now, so we did a quick photo shoot with her sunglasses after we took a silly photo of Daddy for a joke gift at the Halcomb Christmas that is coming up. She really does have some major Sas in her step Folks!
The first Wednesday of break, Kim and Vivianna invited Ayla and me over to ice some holiday cookies. The girls had a very good time and decorated a few cookies...and then they lost focus and wanted to play in Vivi's room. So we spent the rest of the afternoon chatting, and dressing up into princess gowns. We really love Miss Vivi and are so glad the God blessed her into the lives of Kim and Dean! She really is the most perfect fit for their family!
The kids are sporting their new red rain boots that Aunt Mary Beth got them for Christmas. Adorable!
