Jasper is ONE

Happy 1st Birthday to my sweet baby boy who is growing up like a flash before my very eyes!  It is hard to fathom that this little babe of mine was NICU bound this time last year.  I have spent the last couple days rereading his NICU story and crying my eyes out because I just cannot believe everything he was going through a year ago.  And now he's such a happy, perfect, loving little boy! You would have never guessed that a NICU story was in his past.  Jasper Paul Huff, at ONE year of age you Can/Are/Do:

• Are 27 1/2 inches tall, and Weigh 20.5 pounds
• Have the most smiley disposition about you
• Are very laid back - 95% of the time - unless your sister is picking on you
• Have 5 teeth - and you look forward to brushing them every night
• Aren't quite walking yet, but you'll hold onto anything that will walk you around
• Are transition from a bottle to a sippy cup
• Love to dance
• Are obsessed with dogs and balls
• Can say- Mama, Dada, Ball, Dog, Uh-Oh, Baba, Ni-Night, Nana, More, Bath
• Don't seem to enjoy getting your picture taken right now
• Like to eat finger foods now
• Are most likely allergic to tomato based foods and low-fat yogurt (it's been a time figuring out this fun fact through horrible diaper rashes)
• Are in size 4 diapers
• Love your bath time
• Lay down and go right to sleep without any fussing, all by yourself
• Love to sleep - you would sleep from 8 - 10am the next day every single day if you could
• Take 2 naps per day
• Don't like it when people leave you alone in the room
• Will crawl up to anyone, climb up to them, and give them a hug
• Enjoy "getting" people and growling at them
• Can say "more" and "all done" in sign language
• Are done with breast milk - you drink whole milk now

Gosh do we ever love you so so much!  Our family would definitely not be the same without you in it.  You bring a calm to the family and we couldn't be happier with you sweet Japper Boy!  Let's see what this next year will bring!
