A Rocephin Shot It Is!!

Ayla's 3rd medicine for her ear infection still has not been working.  Leslie Antonelli told me that we should try a Rocephin shot.  I had no idea what it was, but she suggested it, so I called the dr. and asked about it.  I am just so nervous about going on our trip to Tennessee and her still having an ear infection.  They told me they would give her the shot and to come in right away.  I did some research about the shot and I read that it was going to hurt really badly.  They liquid is extra think so it hurts during the injection.  Each shot is like the equivalent of 30 doses of "bubble gum medicine".  I feared it all day.  When we went to the doctor's office, they weighed her and decided that they would be able to do two shots - one in each leg.  If after this, her infection doesn't go away, they want to look into tubes.  I can't wait for her to get tubes because I know this will all be over once it happens!  They had two nurses come into the room so that they could both give her a shot at the same time.  They counted to three, and then Ayla cried a little bit, but then she was over it!  I couldn't believe how well she did!  I hope this works.
