Ayla's REAL Birthday Party

We had the best 1st birthday party for Ayla.  She had so much fun and was such a good little girl - even when she stayed up an hour and a half past her bedtime.  Her entire birthday party was a rainbow theme.  For food we had cony dogs, rainbow goldfish crackers, rainbow jello, fruit and veggie rainbow trays, pasta salad, and chili cheese roll-ups.  Drink glasses were mason jars with her face on them and rainbow straws, and there were tons of rainbow decorations that I made myself.  It took a lot of time, but I had so much fun doing it all!  Her first birthday was a special occasion because we have waited so long for this sweet baby girl.  It was only fitting to celebrate her this way!  Ayla's great grandparents from my side were there.  All grandparents came, and so did Uncle X.  She opened tons of gifts and dug into her very own rainbow cake as well.  She literally tried to put her face into the cake to eat it.  Her first birthday was absolutely perfect!

Delicious Spread!  Note the "1 layered Jello" to the front there.  Thanks for the special touch Fancy and Grand Dude!

Tissue decorations in rainbow color!

I'm proud to say that this was my own idea - each glass had a different face so you wouldn't mix yours up with someone else's!

Ayla was so happy that her Nini and Pappaw came up to see her on a week night!

I love this picture - I feel like there is one similar from several years before.

Starting the "Taking off my bow" phase -  we need to work on that one
