Ayla is the best baby in the whole wide world! She makes us so happy. She's ever-changing and has such a fun personality. Miss Melissa and Miss Cheyenne say they click with her and lover her like their own. She lights up the room whenever she's there. I can't begin to describe the amount of joy she brings us! I pray to God that He gives Blair and me more time than we could ever ask for to enjoy this beautiful miracle of His.
At 9 Months, Ayla Is/Does/Can:
- Stand up without holding onto anything to help her up
- Squat down and then stand back up again
- Wave goodbye with her fingers
- Reaches for you to hold her
- Sticks out her arm while you're holding her so as to guide you where to go
- Understands "No"
- Has gotten her hand gently smacked to teach her right from wrong
- Claps when she falls down
- Picks up food between her fingers
- Only wants to feed herself
- Holds a fork and puts food into her mouth
- Sleeps about 11 hours per night (except when she has ear infections and/or cuts teeth)
- Has 2 teeth
- Walks anywhere if she can hold onto objects around the room
- Can take approximately 12 steps in a row on her own before falling down
- Cries when Daddy leaves her at daycare in the mornings
- Drops things and says "Ohhhh" (like uh-oh)
- Crawls super fast
- Loves tearing out all of her books from her bookshelf
- Babbles with expression
- Very ticklish at her ribs
- Giggles at the "Bumpy Ride" song
- Learned how to open cabinets all by herself
- Has been scheduled for tubes in her ears over Christmas Break
- Has gotten croup for the first time
- Had her 1st fever with croup
- Blows on you and makes the tooting sound (face, arms, legs)
