I've been so excited to give Ayla some real food recently. Lately she's beginning to get frustrated with her cereal in the evenings. It's like she's trying to say that she's getting sick and tired of the same old thing all the time. I decided that I'm going to try to make her baby food. It doesn't sound hard to do, you can make it in bulk, and it's 100 times cheaper than buying it. I took Sunday afternoon and attempted carrots and butternut squash. It was a definite success and it tastes really great! Not much work at all...of course I will keep getting more efficient each time I make more. We decided that we're giving her carrots first, and we'll try the squash second. For the next 4 days we'll give her the carrots just to be sure she doesn't have an allergic reaction to them. We fed her her first serving of carrots on Sunday and she seemed to like them pretty well! She made a couple faces like it was sour or something, but overall, she did great! She ate the whole serving. We sent her to daycare with another serving and they said she did wonderfully with them as well. I changed her diaper today when I picked her up and it's quite obvious that she's eating carrots! haha
