A Great Weekend at Home

I've officially been back to work for a whole week now.  It is definitely going to be a challenge figuring out how to get everything done at school on time so that I can be organized there and be ready to leave to go get my baby girl each evening after school.  I'm going to get up around 5:45 each morning now to start getting myself ready before Ayla wakes up around 6:00.  Then I'll feed her, get her dressed while Blair gets up and gets himself ready.  As soon as Ayla is ready, I'll give her to Blair so he can play with her for a few minutes before he walks out the door with her to go to daycare at 7:00.  Then I'll grab my things and get to school by 7:15.  That way I can get everything done in the mornings before my students arrive and I can leave to get Ayla by 4:45 each day.  Blair will get home around 7:00 pm each night this month because it's such a busy time at work for him right now.  And he's in the process of doing his old and new jobs together right now.  Ayla will get a bath around 7:45 each night and be asleep by 8:30pm.  Then we'll get up the next day and do it all over again!
Things went well this first week, but it's definitely exhausting.  With all this new craziness, all I wanted to do this weekend was be at home with my baby girl.  And that's exactly what we did.  Friday night we stayed at home, relaxed, and played together.  All day Saturday we did the same thing.  It felt great to just be home together.  We went to the 4:30 church service and then went over to James and Lauren's house for his 30th birthday celebration.  We plan on spending Sunday all together as well and maybe having our usual Chicken Sunday Dinner.  I appreciate lazy weekends at home more than ever at this point in my life!
