Baby Huff #2 Causes Some Sweet Drama

Today I had my 12 week baby check-up...but I'm only 11 1/2 weeks.  They got me in early because we're leaving for Orange Beach at the end of this week and they wanted to make sure I got in for an appointment.  I got to see Dr. Bell today and she was so nice.  She was so happy that I was back in for a new addition to our family and was very proud that we did it on our own this time!  When she put the little microphone on my belly to check the heartbeat, she couldn't find it.  She told me right from the beginning not to panic because I was not quite 12 weeks along yet and she could only find the heartbeat about 50% of the time this early.  So after about 2 minutes of looking, she told me that I was going to need to get an ultrasound to get a better read on the baby.  She told me not to worry and that everything would be fine.  And it really was!  About 5 minutes later, I was in the ultrasound room and they were showing me my beautifully healthy, growing baby.  The ultrasound tech said that the reason Dr. Bell couldn't find the heartbeat was because the baby is sitting WAY back in my uterus right now.  The heartbeat was 178 which is a lot higher than last time.  Ayla's heartbeat was always about this high throughout my pregnancy with her.  Everything measured great and I got to take home some pictures for people to see!  Is this new little babe going to be a troublemaker?  Or was God just testing my faith in Him?  I'm pretty sure it's going to be the latter.  :-)

The baby just laid there kicking his/her little legs in the air and waving their arms everywhere.  It was so cute!
