So I put Ayla to bed around 8:00pm, and I walked into our
bathroom to take a pregnancy test. I
stood and watched the lines darken in disbelief. Was I really seeing this correctly? The first pregnancy test I would take while
trying for this baby would be a Big Fat Positive!
I tried to gather my thoughts and wrap my brain around what I was
seeing. My heart began pounding so hard
that I could almost hear it myself!
There was no way I couldn’t run down the stairs and show Blair what I
had just discovered. He was writing up a
review for his job, and I walked into the office, set down the test, and looked
at him in disbelief. He stopped and just
stared at me! “Did you just take this
right now?” He asked. “Yes!”
I shrieked! He immediately jumped
up and gave me a high five. And then we
called all of the grandparents! We
Skyped Nini and Pappaw, called Auntie Lee Lee and Cousin KK, and then called
Fancy on the phone so that she would scream the news to Grand Dude and Uncle
X. I looked on the computer, and
apparently the baby will be with us in December of this year! Never in my wildest dreams did I think that
we would have 2 kids less than 2 years apart! I cannot even begin to fathom what their lives
with be like together!
I wonder if it will be a boy. That’s what I think it is right now. This time around, I have noticed that I want
to eat grilled chicken and fish. (I
didn’t touch fish once the entire time I was pregnant with Ayla.) I haven’t felt too sick yet, and coffee is
easy to drink right now. All of these
things are a bit different from the last time.
Of course, we will not find out what the baby is early, so it will be a
surprise that everyone will be waiting on!
WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!A family of 4 who is excited to share our daily lives with family near and far. Documenting memories big and small to be forever remembered!

HUFF BABY #2 IS ON ITS WAY!!!
Tonight, I decided to take a pregnancy test. The last couple days, I had not been feeling
necessarily myself. I would feel
slightly queasy if I hadn’t eaten and I was out of breath while trying to read
to my students in class. (Both of these
symptoms reminded me of when I was pregnant with Ayla, so I began to
wonder.) Another strange symptom that I
had been having was (and I know this probably sounds gross) is that I was
swallowing a lot of extra spit! I didn’t
know where that was coming from all of a sudden, but I remember reading about
it being a pregnancy symptom in some women.
