Fancy and I took Ayla to get her first Happy Meal from McDonald's today. She has had a few French fries in the past and I figured she would probably like to eat a cheeseburger from there too, but I underestimated her! When we ordered her cheeseburger happy meal, the lady was surprised that she didn't want a "plain" one. Happy Meals come with ketchup, mustard, pickle, and onion. I told her that Ayla was a pretty good eater and that she would be fine with everything on her burger. When we sat down to eat, she tore into her cheeseburger, and that was the last we saw of it. She loved it! She ate a few fries too, but the burger was her favorite. She got white milk to drink with it and also her first happy meal toy - a little purple My Little Pony. The apples that come with the meal freak me out because they are cut and peeled apples that sit in a baggie for like months! And somehow they are always still good. I really hoped that Abe didn't want to eat them, and she didn't! So I was happy about that - we'll cross that bridge at another time. After Ayla ate her lunch, she walked around McDonald's and waved "hello" to all the old people. She's such a trip! And Fancy was thrilled to be the first to pay for Ayla's McDonald's meal. I'm sure there will be many more Happy Meals in the future! :-)
After eating lunch, we decided to go visit Grandma and Grandpa Tranter. It was fun to sit down for a few hours and visit just us. I love that they get to see my little sweet babe grow!
