Jasper 9 Months

He is getting big so quickly.  It's like every time we turn around, he's almost a year old!  Jasper is still the happiest baby I've ever known in my life.  He gets excited when people come in the room and then he waits patiently for them to acknowledge him.  And then he gives off the biggest grin you could imagine.  What a sweet little boy we have.  He's the daycare favorite in his room and so darn good looking.  :-)  At Nine Months, Jasper:

  • Weighs 18.5 pounds.  And is 27.5 inches long.
  • Is working on crawling - he can get onto all fours and then rock back and forth
  • Could possibly skip crawling and go right into the bear crawl - which is what we're starting to see happening little by little
  • Likes to say BaBa, and Dada (I wonder if when he says baba he's actually trying to say Mama)
  • Loves his big sister
  • Screams and claws his way above your head when someone is pretending to get him
  • Has the most hilarious laugh - he cracks up when you call him crazy
  • Is extremely ticklish - his belly and neck are a weak spot
  • Has found his little ding dong!  Haha he likes to pull on it when he's in the bathtub - and if Ayla is in there with him, she'll say, "You find your ding dong Bub?  You find it?"  It's really quite hilarious
  • Is obsessed with yogurt just like his sis
  • Is starting to eat some finger foods - such as teething wafers and little cheeto puffs.  He can't handle the small yogurt melts or the puffs yet because he lets them sit on the back of his tongue and then gags on them
  • Sleeps wonderfully through the night.  He's asleep around 8:15ish and we have to wake him up at 6:40 to get to daycare on time
  • Naps very well at daycare - and Eats a ton there to!
  • Every morning, Jasper has a whole banana mixed in with oatmeal and formula.  Then for lunch he has some sort of fruit, vegetable, and pasta.  For dinner, he does another fruit, vegetable, and then usually a pasta or yogurt.  And then while he's at daycare, he also has 3- 5 oz. bottles of milk, and a yogurt for a snack.  (How is this kid not huge?)
  • Enjoys reading and likes to turn the pages when his sister doesn't do it for him.
  • Can sit up from a laying position and then lay back down again
  • Is beginning to try to pull himself up onto things
  • Goes Boo-Boo about 6 times per day
  • Had his first ear infection - and smiled all the way through it
  • Holds onto you like a spider monkey - clinging for dear life when you hold him
