This was one of the best moments ever in my opinion, for 2 reasons. First - because this was finally the day that Mr. Jasper was able to bust out of the NICU and come home with us! We finally got to put him in his "BABY Brother" outfit and load him in his car seat for a real ride!
The 2nd reason this was one of the best moments ever is because you can never get back that moment with your children meet for the very first time. And my memory of Ayla and Jasper meeting was priceless. We booked it down the elevator with our little man and hightailed it to Fancy and Grand Dude's house where Ayla was patiently awaiting the arrival of her little brother. When we pulled up, she was standing at the window pointing at us and watching. When Blair pulled Jasper out of the car, he immediately ran to the front door for a better look. We video taped the whole thing. It was wonderful to see how excited she was about him. She wanted to badly to touch him. And when she opened the present he got her, I think she was even more excited about him. :-) He got her an Oloff doll and the movie Frozen. She has watched it every day since. Nothing beats having a sibling. I'm so glad that these two will be close in age, and I'm sure they will be best of friends. Thank you God for your grace and generosity that you have bestowed upon us! We couldn't be happier with our two little babes.
