3 Months

Ayla turned 3 Months old today.  She's grown so much!  She's constantly babbling, cooing, and smiling.  It seems that she recognizes us now.  Ayla is very strong!  She holds her own weight when helped to stand up.  She can hold her head up now and she's pretty good at holding her head up to look around during tummy time.  Ayla is most likely going to like looking at books.  She has started to practice turning the pages herself!  She's gotten very good at holding her binky in her mouth by herself.  She likes to look at herself in the mirror.  And I think she's started to realize that she's got feet.  She likes to pull her legs up to her chest and look at them.  Or she is always staring down at them when she's in her carseat.
We've started to work on Ayla taking a nap in her crib during the day, and we've discovered that she's very hard-headed.  She is going to fight us on that one for sure.  Today we tried her morning nap in her crib and she cried it out for 1 hour and 5 minutes before she graced us with a chincy 25 minute nap.
Ayla's lost almost all of her newborn hair and now new hair is starting to come in.  It's going to be blond for sure, and I'm almost positive her eyes will stay blue.  They get lighter by the day and I can only hope that she gets Poppy's gems!
Ayla still wakes once a night to eat around 3:30am.  We're hoping that ends pretty soon.  Overall, we've got an amazing little girl who people still stop me to look at.  They say how little she is and how beautiful she is.  We think so too!  Happy 3 months little girl!
