Kenny Chesney Concert = Happy 8th Anniversary

Blair and I decided that we wanted to be young, wild, and free again and go out to a Kenny Chesney concert for our upcoming anniversary. Here are pictures of our very 1st date at a Kenny Concert 10 years earlier, and a picture of us that evening.  I hate to say that I think we were much better behaved 10 years ago.  We drank entirely too much booze and I puked all the way home.  Oh how our love has grown!  :-)

Picnics & Baby Doll Clothes

I know my posts always state this, but Summer Break with my babies is THE.BEST.THING.EVER. The other day, the weather was beautiful, but a little chilly.  Too cold to go swimming, and too close to nap time to do much.  So we decided to lay out an old family quilt and have a picnic in our backyard.  We heated up turkey dogs, peeled oranges, grabbed some squeezes, filled up our water bottles, and ate outside.  After lunch, the kids found sticks in the yard, and I laughed as Bubby shouted "Hi-Ya!" to everything near him.
Later in the day, it warmed up, so the kids stripped down and splashed in the baby pool.  Now if that isn't good old fashioned summer fun, I don't know what is!

Ayla has been into stripping down her baby dolls into nothing lately, so I thought it might be time to pull out my old baby doll clothes for her to play with.  Maybe if she had something else to clothe them in, she wouldn't be leaving them lying around naked all the time!  This is a picture of one of my old baby doll outfits on her most favorite doll "Baby Annabelle".  Oh how time is flying!

Bubby Says - "Bye Bye Binky" & 1st Big Boy Haircut

It's crazy to think that our baby boy is so grown up now.  We knew that once we got back from vacation, we would be taking Jasper's binky away, but it was just so sad.  He handled it very well at his first nap time, but after that, it was rough for a few weeks.  He would cry himself to sleep every night because he didn't want us to hold him or rock him at all.  Our baby boy who could put himself to sleep so easily was no more.  But since we were forcing our son to grow up, we thought it would be nice to give him his 1st real big boy haircut as well.  And MAN is he a looker!

You know Ayla needed a picture too  :-)

Orange Beach Family Vacation

We had a complete blast on our 2016 family vacation.  We couldn't decide where to go for the longest time, so we ended up booking an Orange Beach condo at the last minute.  It was so much fun to just be a family of 4 on this trip.  Blair and I thought it might be hard to take care of both kids on our own and get a chance to relax at the same time, but it really did work out perfectly.  Each day, we would get up early, have breakfast, go out to either the pool, or the ocean, or both, and then come up for lunch.  After lunch, the kids would go down for a nap and one of us would go back down to the water on our own.  The other stayed up with the kids and relaxed inside.  Then, when the kids woke up from their naps, we would go back down swimming for a couple more hours.  We would go get showers and then head out for an earlier dinner.  After dinner, we would head home, get the kids to bed, and then Blair and I would have a few drinks out on our balcony.  Overall, it was a very fun trip and we made lots of memories!

Almost there, and we stopped for a Father's Day breakfast.  The kids were so glad to be out of the car

Happy Father's Day!

About 3/4 of the way there, we stopped and stayed at a hotel for the night.  We went out to dinner and then walked by the water in Alabama.

We arrived in Orange Beach too early to check into our condo, so we stopped for ice cream at our favorite place first.  The kids were thrilled!
