Hangin' With The Shoups

Oh do we ever love our old neighbors and friends The Shoups!  I got a text from Brooke the other day asking if we could hang out for dinner Saturday night.  Amazingly we didn't already have anything planned so we spent the evening eating yummy steaks and lots of delicious sides.  The boys watched some basketball and Brooke and I nursed our babies.  It's completely different than the days when we used to run back and forth from each other's houses to go grab more drinks to say the least!  At least we got one good pic of all the kiddos!

Ayla Sees The Silly Safari

Ayla usually goes to daycare on Thursdays (since we have to pay for 1 day to hold her spot anyway) but this week we sent her on Friday so that she could go to the Silly Safari in-school field trip.  She absolutely loved seeing the animals.  The director, Miss Kayce, took lots of cute pics of my girl for me.  Awww...her first field trip!  :-)

She's totally in to that bunny

The first thing she said to me when I picker her up was, "Mommy!  I saw a turtle!"

She'll pet the bunny, but she'll keep her eye on that snake at the same time.
Not quite sure about that snake

A Parent's Promise for Jasper

Today was a special day.  We did this day with Ayla last year and now it was Jasper's turn!  We dedicated Jasper to our church and to the promise of raising him up in a Godly household.  We got to stand in front of several witnesses and declare that we would do our very best to teach Jasper about the bible and raise him to be a Godly Man.  After the ceremony, we got a gift bag with a plaque and his picture on it.  I was so excited because Ayla got one last year too, and we put it up in her bedroom.  Now he has one of his own as a reminder of our promises!  Then we went and enjoyed cupcakes and refreshments in the coffee house.  I'm pretty for sure that this was Ayla's favorite part.  She would have enjoyed Jasper's cupcake too if he would have gotten one!

Her face stuffed with snacks as usual these days!

Cindy Celebration 2015

I can't believe that it's already been 11 years since Aunt Cindy passed away.  We all miss her dearly and it was stated at the cemetery on Sunday morning, that we all still think about her regularly.  There are so many great grand babies now and the family line just keeps on growing!  We know that Cindy would be proud.  While sitting back and watching the kids run around and play together this weekend, I realized that us cousins seem to be slowing down and the babies are getting rowdier by the year!  Oh the memories of when we were this young!  Most of the photos this year are of the babies, but we got some pretty good shots of the cemetery this year.  And I'm so glad because this was the first official year that every single one of us made it back for the festivities.

Look at all those great grand babies!

We realized that it's nearly impossible to get them all smiling or looking at the camera at the same time!

And we managed to fit Grandma and Grandpa in there too!
